"Watermelon sugar high"

This week I was kissed by a 90-year-old man named Yogi, ate a 1/4 of a watermelon (so shout out to Harry Styles and his song "Watermelon Sugar High" for this week's song lyric title), was out-run by an 80-year-old, and was hit full force in the head by a basketball.
Never a dull moment in Albuquerque.
Me and Sister Larson had a pretty wild experience this past week. We visit a few people in an assisted living facility, and on our way out to the car after our lessons, we walked past this little old man reading a book on his porch. I could see myself going up to him and saying the words "hey do you want something else to read" and handing him a Book of Mormon. I'm pretty stubborn, and brushed off the thought a few times, but it kept coming back. Still, I walked away.
As we got to the car, Sister Larson stopped. I looked at her and said "did you want to talk to him?" She said "well I thought I'd see if he wanted something else to read."
Baffled, I said "great, I thought the exact same thing, let's go!!!"
This guy (Zayne) was super grateful to have a Book of Mormon finally in his hands after hearing about it all his life. Basically, God told me to do something, and because I ignored the thought, he gave us another chance by giving Sister Larson the exact same thought, in the exact same words. Miracles really do happen. Later in the week, I was having a particularly hard evening and was having trouble motivating myself to keep going. As we drove and I wanted to give up, I kept having a random name in our area book I had seen a couple times come to mind. After my experience with Zayne, I decided I couldn't ignore strong impressions like that anymore, We drove and knocked on his door even though it made zero sense for our schedule, and he wasn't home. As I was about to pull out, Sister Larson stopped me and said, looking at the trailer to the right, "dude, I think Jessie is sitting on his porch." Jessie is someone we met months and months ago. He was so nice, but eventually didn't feel like he had time in his life for us to come by. This time around, he seemed so much more ready for the gospel. He immediately opened up to us and told us all about the hardship he has been through in the past few months because of the loss of loved ones. As we spoke, I felt God supporting me and giving me the words I needed to say. I think it's cool that even in moments where we don't think we can keep going, God will always show us why he needs us exactly where we are. We just have to keep pushing through the rough patches to see the miracles unfold before our eyes. As I read in Joshua this week, this verse stuck out in my mind: "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua was asked to do a really hard thing: take down Jericho and cross a river. But through the Lord, those things that seemed impossible, were made possible. I know this is exactly what the Lord is telling each of us. I need a lot more courage and a lot less fear, and as I rely on the Lord, I know he can help me overcome any obstacle I may face. He's done it for me before, so why can't he do it again? Don't forget that Jesus loves you, Sister Wallace Pics: 1. Hehe 2. Me in my element 3. Sis Larson likes to cover my face 4. Partay.
