"I surrender"

It was another week of wild miracles. Seriously sometimes I look back and can't believe the work God is doing. I am lucky to be a part of it.
Despite an annoyingly obnoxious ear ache, it was a decent week (aka week of miracles - see paragraph above). The work moves forward even when Lacey's head wants to explode. This is what this week's title is all about. Go listen to the new 2022 youth album!! (see link below)
As a spoiler - here's the words to the chorus:
I surrender.
I put it in Your hands.
I surrender
Ev’rything I am.
Tried to do it all alone,
But I couldn’t even stand.
I’m Yours forever.
I surrender.
Thank you thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes ♡♡♡ and shoutout to my cute mom who sent my companion some of our family traditional decorations. It was a day of mixed emotions, as I thought it would be. I miss my family all the time, but especially on days like that. But hey, I've made it every day so far, and that's a win.
I've been thinking a lot about how really all that matters to God is the work we put forward. It's so easy to sit around thinking about how we are inadequate and never enough and how there might even be times we just want to crawl into a bawl of overwhelmingness (I'm having deja vu as I think I wrote this exact thing in a previous email). BUT!! All hope is not lost.
God didn't send us here to fail. He sent us here to learn and grow and love and FIND JOY. He hasn't left us alone, because he sent a Savior.
His son, Jesus christ. A baby born in humble circumstances, who would feel every sorrow and pain we ever could feel.
With him, I know we can do all things. To be blunt, so many mornings this week, I woke up feeling done already. I didn't think I could do another day again, but somehow, it's Monday again! We can do all things through Christ. There's no other team I'd rather be on.
I mean, he already won the game, so what would be the point of joining a different team?
Merry merry Christmas!!! I hope you all can remember the Savior this week. There's so much craziness during Christmas, but the most important thing we can focus on is the whole reason for the holiday in the first place, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
I know He lives, and in Him lies the greatest joy and peace.
Don't forget that Jesus loves you,
Sister Wallace
