"Hey uh haven't we left you a Jesus card before?" Yes, this is actually how I started talking to someone a little over a week ago. So theres this place called "The Siegel" and we have found it to be a gold mine. We've found a lot of people to teach there, including our recent convert, Alicia ♡ Every time we are there, we pass this guy working on his car. Each time, I feel like talking to this guy is important, but we never actually go up to him. A week ago Sunday we finally started talking to him, and my fears kicked in. I kept my mouth shut as my companion did the initial talking. He left before we could talk about the gospel. You'd think after a year+ of this, my fears about speaking up would be gone. But, far too often, I just can't open my mouth. I walk away beating myself up, telling myself the next time I get the opportunity, I'd talk to him. On our way out for the night, we saw him coming out of his apartment, and I realized we've left a card in that very door in the past. This was months ago, and we didn't even know it was his apartment. Without thinking, I heard myself say ... "Hey uh haven't we left you a Jesus card before?" Immediately the conversation started going and when we told him about the Book of Mormon, his face lit up. By the end, he asked "well how can I get one of those books?" Since that Sunday, we've gone back almost everyday, and this Sunday he showed up at the church all on his own to watch general conference with us then literally paid for a taxi to pick him up and take him home. We only invited him once, and we didn't even remind him. This guy was just looking for some kind of truth and peace! Without hesitation, he told us he would be back at church next week.

There are people like this everywhere, just searching for goodness. The simplest phrase started a conversation. The little things we do matter! If you've had a thought to text someone today, do it! If you've had a thought to stop by someone's house, go for it! If you've had the thought to make someone cookies, make them! Every good thing comes from God, and we all just need a little more love in this world. There's so much heartache and pain and turmoil in the world right now. During general conference, where our prophet and other church leaders speak to the whole world, the prophet asked us all to do everything we could to eliminate the conflict in our own lives. As we obtain more personal peace, light and truth can enter in. I know that the best place to turn for peace is Jesus Christ. "He gives us hope, when hope is gone. He gives us strength when we can't go on. He gives us shelter, in the storms of life. When theres no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ." Don't forget that Jesus loves you, Sister Wallace Pics: 1. Always love driving at night with pretty New Mexico skies

2. I was back at the temple this week!! 3-5. Got to see Sister Gleason and Sister Crane (all the way back from my home MTC days), and Sister Clayton (my very first mission comp) this week! We had a giant meeting with all the mission leadership. Such a fun reunion! 6. Just a love reminder
